When is it Time to Upgrade?
How do you know when it's time to upgrade? It’s not always as simple as a broken piece you can’t replace.
Here are a few pointers for deciding if you need to upgrade the display or graphics.
You aren’t commanding attention.
A sure sign that your exhibit needs some redesigning is when you notice show attendees walking past your booth without a second glance. Any trade show display needs to make a strong first impression. If you're unsure of what you need to change, then you may want to consult with a trade show professional to ensure your next event is a success!
Your photos are outdated.
Be selective when utilizing photos, while bringing a personal touch, they can become dated rather quickly, especially when focusing on technology or how someone is dressed. If your company is investing in a booth that will be used over many years, consider interchangeable graphics.
Your brand identity doesn’t match.
Your display’s graphics should be cohesive with the rest of your digital or physical marketing. An outdated message is immediately noticeable. Your exhibit should be memorable for what you do, not fade away due to lack of identity.
Your booth is too small or crowded.
A booth may turn away potential customers if it appears too crowded. Do you have too many physical products? Is the traffic flow not apparent? This could also mean it’s time to upgrade your booth space to the next size up.
Your booth cannot accommodate new technology.
Tech is king, from digital lead generation to interactive experiences. Even something simple like a photo slide show is an excellent attention grabber, if it can even be seen. A laptop on the table is too small and too low to be seen, so building a TV into the display is a better solution.
Your exhibit just doesn’t service you anymore.
Using an older, heavier booth can be costly when it comes to shipping, hiring I&D labor, or just finding replacement parts. Modern displays are constantly being created with lighter (and just as sturdy) materials, and are being engineered for simpler setup.
