Build Trust and Credibility

Employees owe a duty to FB Displays & Designs, Inc., its customers, and stakeholders to act in a way that will merit the continued trust and confidence of the public.

When considering any action, it is wise to ask: will this build trust and credibility for FB Displays & Designs, Inc.? Will it help create a working environment in which FB Displays & Designs, Inc. can succeed over the long term? Is the commitment I am making one I can follow through with? The only way to maximize trust and credibility is by answering “yes” to those questions and by working every day to build our trust and credibility.

Use Good Judgment

In general, the use of good judgment, based on high ethical principles, will guide you with respect to lines of acceptable conduct. If a situation arises where it is difficult to determine the proper course of action, the matter should be discussed openly with your immediate supervisor and, if necessary, with management, for advice and consultation.

Avoid Conflicts of Interest

We expect our employees to conduct business according to the highest ethical standards . Employees are expected to devote their best efforts to the interests of the company and the execution of its affairs. Business dealings that represent, or appear to represent, a conflict between the interests of the company and an employee are unacceptable. The company recognizes the right of employees to engage in activities outside of their employment which are of a private nature and unrelated to our business. However, a policy of full disclosure must be followed to assess and prevent potential conflicts of interest from arising

Here are some other ways in which conflicts of interest could arise:

  1. Being employed (you or a close family member) by, or acting as a consultant to, a competitor or potential competitor, supplier or contractor, regardless of the nature of the employment, while you are employed with FB Displays & Designs, Inc.
  2. Hiring or supervising family members or closely related persons.
  3. Serving as a board member for an outside commercial company or organization.
  4. Owning or having a substantial interest in a competitor, supplier or contractor.
  5. Having a personal interest, financial interest or potential gain in any company transaction.
  6. Placing company business with a firm owned or controlled by a FB Displays & Designs, Inc. employee or his or her family.

Contact your supervisor or management if you have questions regarding a possible conflict of interest.

Confidential and Proprietary Information

During the course of your employment at FB Displays & Designs, Inc., you will be working with our customers, customer lists, business systems, future plans, specialized technology, data and other information that we consider confidential. Such information is to be maintained with strict confidentiality. This may also be true for proprietary information within the company. Maintaining this confidentiality is important to our competitive position in the industry and ultimately, to our ability to achieve financial success and provide employment stability. We will not disclose confidential and nonpublic information without a valid business purpose and proper authorization.

Any employee who has access to sensitive, confidential customer records, employee records and discusses any material with another person, except for assigned duty, may be subject to immediate dismissal. Information about other employees is also private.

Use of Company Resources

Company resources, including time, material, equipment and information, are provided for company business use. Employees and those who represent FB Displays & Designs, Inc. are trusted to behave responsibly and use good judgment to conserve company resources. For example, company phones, computers, software, internet access & email are only to be used for business related research, production & communications.

Workplace Monitoring Policy

Workplace monitoring may be conducted by FB Displays & Designs, Inc. to ensure quality control, employee safety, security, and customer satisfaction. Computers furnished to employees are the property of FB Displays & Designs, Inc. As such, computer usage and files may be monitored or accessed. Because FB Displays & Designs, Inc. is sensitive to the legitimate privacy rights of employees, every effort will be made to guarantee that workplace monitoring is done in an ethical and respectful manner.

Questions about the proper use of company resources should be directed to your manager.

Open Door Policy

FB Displays & Designs, Inc. is available to help you resolve misunderstandings. If you have a work related problem, it should first be discussed with your supervisor at FB Displays & Designs, Inc. so that it can be resolved quickly. If the problem is not solved, you may come to management for assistance. At this time you may file a written complaint with management of FB Displays & Designs, Inc. This must be accomplished within five (5) business days of the cause of the complaint.

In addition, you may request our Human Resource representative to accompany you to present the problem and ensure that both you and your manager understand the issues to be resolved. Your manager at work will then provide a written response within ten (10) business days of the receipt of the written complaint to Management.

If this has not resulted in a satisfactory solution within fifteen (15) business days, a meeting may be established with you, your manager and the President to review the matter. If a solution is not reached at this meeting, you can appeal to the President of FB Displays & Designs, Inc. Her decision will be final and binding.


Each of us is responsible for knowing, understanding, and adhering to the values and standards set forth in this Code and for raising questions if we are uncertain about company policy. If we are concerned whether the standards are being met or are aware of violations of this Code, we must contact Management. FB Displays & Designs, Inc. takes seriously the standards set forth in this Code, and violations are cause for disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
