Our Web Design Journey

After a meeting with a marketing consultant in May, the FBD2 team came to the decision that it was time for a website makeover. With previous design experience and some professional pointers in hand, we came up with a game plan for the next iteration of DisplaysAndDesigns.com:

1) Improve the Project

Gallery

The top item on our list was the most challenging puzzle piece and the last to actually come together. Now adorned with an interactive organizational system, the project gallery is a great place to start if you are not sure what type of display you’re looking for. Listed are some of the most frequently requested display sizes and types. There are also more than a few “hidden” keywords such as fabric, counter, and monitor, which can be found using the search bar.

2) Share Our Knowledge

We always had a wealth of helpful information on our website, but it was spread across far too many pages and sections. We now have a single blog page devoted to all of our informational articles and posts. We also created a “digital literature stand” (pun intended) where we have gathered select helpful resources. Keep an eye on this section as we plan to add content on a regular basis.

3) Showcase Who We Are and What We Do

Gone is the slideshow filled with buzzwords. In its place, we created a trendy video to better explain who we are and what we do, while showing off our amazing team.

4) Show Off Our Style

We added a rich purple to the FBD2 color palette. Why purple? It represents our creativity and the quality of services we provide, plus, it pairs well with our corporate colors: Magenta and Grey.

5) Build a Better Back-End Experience

Our previous website was challenging to update and maintain. We switched to a new user-friendly platform, which frees us from managing tedious upkeep. We would rather spend our time on client projects.

It’s been a long journey for us and a labor of love. At last, we are proud to share with you the fruits of our labor. We hope you enjoy this new site as much as we do.

Once you’ve had a chance to check out our new site, we’d love to hear from you. Use the button below, or the contact form found on any of our pages, to share your thoughts.
