FRC Global Looks to the Sky

Long-standing client, FRC Global came to FBD2 with a challenge to solve for the upcoming AISTech 2022 Expo. FRC was moving from an inline booth space to an island booth space, and they needed new exhibit materials. Their primary goals were to have a tall central tower, a hanging sign, backlighting, a monitor and meeting space. And they wanted all of that in an easy to use system that they could setup themselves.

The biggest hurdle is that they were given a non-traditional 10×20 island space, which plays by its own set of rules. This display space only allows for a display height of 8’ in the center 10’ of the space. After talking with show management, the FBD2 team was able to persuade them to allow a display up to 12’ h, paving the way for the large central tower, but not for the hanging sign.

We’ve done backlit towers before, and we’ve done towers that can support hanging signs before. But now, with the help of our trusty production house, we were able to design and engineer a backlit tower which supports a hanging sign. The display is a tube-frame, SEG hybrid that allows for an easy setup (clocked in at under 2 hours) and a polished finished look.

After that, it was easy to add a monitor mount, a new graphic wrap for their counter, a table and chairs, and a fresh design by FBD2’s in-house designer, Moira, to finish off FRC’s bold new display.
